2012-02-04ARM: bcmring: fix build failure in mach-bcmring/arch.cPaul Gortmaker
Upstream commit d1fce9c115eeb93e01c01732dfe9a86cf76009cf "ARM: restart: bcmring: use new restart hook" breaks building of this platform, since what used to be the last field of the MACHINE_START/END block didn't have a trailing comma. Once another field was added below, we get: arch/arm/mach-bcmring/arch.c:198: error: request for member 'restart' in something not a structure or union Signed-off-by: Paul Gortmaker <paul.gortmaker@windriver.com> Acked-by: Jiandong Zheng <jdzheng@broadcom.com> Signed-off-by: Olof Johansson <olof@lixom.net>

Hook the Shark restart code into the new restart hook rather than using arch_reset(). Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2011-10-17ARM: platform fixups: remove mdesc argument to fixup functionRussell King
Get rid of the mdesc pointer in the fixup function call. No one uses the mdesc pointer, it shouldn't be modified anyway, and we can't wrap it, so let's remove it. Platform files found by: $ regexp=$(git grep -h '\.fixup.*=' arch/arm | sed 's!.*= *\([^,]*\),* *!\1!' | sort -u | tr '\n' '|' | sed 's,|$,,;s,|,\\|,g') $ git grep $regexp arch/arm Acked-by: Nicolas Pitre <nicolas.pitre@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>

Move adding clkdev table to init_early to make sure the common sp804 clockevents can be initialized properly. Signed-off-by: Jiandong Zheng <jdzheng@broadcom.com> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2010-10-20arm: remove machine_desc.io_pg_offst and .phys_ioNicolas Pitre
Since we're now using addruart to establish the debug mapping, we can remove the io_pg_offst and phys_io members of struct machine_desc. The various declarations were removed using the following script: grep -rl MACHINE_START arch/arm | xargs \ sed -i '/MACHINE_START/,/MACHINE_END/ { /\.\(phys_io\|io_pg_offst\)/d }' [ Initial patch was from Jeremy Kerr, example script from Russell King ] Signed-off-by: Nicolas Pitre <nicolas.pitre@linaro.org> Acked-by: Eric Miao <eric.miao at canonical.com>
2010-04-29ARM: 6047/1: ARM: BCMRING: register PMU IRQ during board initialisationWill Deacon
This patch updates the initialisation routine for the BCMRING platform so that it registers its PMU IRQ with the PMU framework in the Kernel. Acked-by: Leo Chen <leochen@broadcom.com> Signed-off-by: Will Deacon <will.deacon@arm.com> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>

2009-11-18sysctl: Drop & in front of every proc_handler.Eric W. Biederman
For consistency drop & in front of every proc_handler. Explicity taking the address is unnecessary and it prevents optimizations like stubbing the proc_handlers to NULL. 2009-11-12sysctl arm: Remove binary sysctl supportEric W. Biederman
Now that sys_sysctl is a generic wrapper around /proc/sys .ctl_name and .strategy members of sysctl tables are dead code. Remove them. Remove a smattering of ctl_names used in sysctl paths, and kill the ctl_names in the recently added mach-bcmring. mach-bcmring never should have had sysctl entries with .ctl_name set. The binary sysctl interface has been frozen for a long time before that code was merged, to prevent probmes with conflicts and lack of testing. The sysctl_check code would have caught this if anyone had ever tested it that way. So I have simply dropped the binary sysctl support instead of adding another compat entry into sysctl_binary.c. Going through /proc/sys/reboot/warm will still work. Cc: Leo Chen <leochen@broadcom.com> Cc: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk> Signed-off-by: Eric W. Biederman <ebiederm@xmission.com>
