2013-05-03Merge branch 'tracking-armlt-dcscb' into integration-linux-vexpressJon Medhurst
2013-05-03ARM: vexpress: introduce DCSCB supportNicolas Pitre
This adds basic CPU and cluster reset controls on RTSM for the A15x4-A7x4 model configuration using the Dual Cluster System Configuration Block (DCSCB). The cache coherency interconnect (CCI) is not handled yet. 2013-03-12ARM: perf: set cpu affinity to support multiple PMUsSudeep KarkadaNagesha
In a system with multiple heterogeneous CPU PMUs and each PMUs can handle events on a subset of CPUs, probably belonging a the same cluster. This patch introduces a cpumask to track which CPUs each PMU supports. It also updates armpmu_event_init to reject cpu-specific events being initialised for unsupported CPUs. Since process-specific events can be initialised for all the CPU PMUs,armpmu_start/stop/add are modified to prevent from being added on unsupported CPUs. 2013-02-28Merge tag 'late-mvebu-rebased' of ↵Linus Torvalds
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc Pull ARM SoC mvebu platform changes from Olof Johansson: "This series contains changes for the Marvell EBU platforms (mvebu, orion, kirkwood, dove) that were not part of the first set of pull requests because of dependencies on the MMC tree, and being submitted a little late. Notable changes are: - More devices get moved out of board files into device tree descriptions. The remaining devices listed in there have patches that will get sent for 3.10, after which we can remove a lot of the board files entirely. We are doing the pinctrl and mmc drivers here, ethernet and PCI still remain. - SMP support for mvebu is improved with support for the local interrupt controller. - The Guruplug board file gets replaced with a DT description. Unfortunately, the dependency on the MMC tree turned out to be a much larger problem than expected, when the MMC maintainer rebased the patches in his tree that all of the patches in this branch are based on, which caused merge conflicts between the new and old versions of those patches. To work around the merge conflicts, this branch rebases all patches on top of the respective MMC patches that did get merged into 3.9. The patches are all identical to the versions that were part of linux-next, but have a new commit date." * tag 'late-mvebu-rebased' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc: (90 commits) arm: mvebu: enable the SD card slot on Armada 370 Reference Design board ARM: kirkwood: topkick: init mvsdio via DT ARM: kirkwood: nsa310: convert to pinctrl ARM: Kirkwood: topkick: Enable i2c bus. Pull ARM SoC i.MX DT changes from Olof Johansson: "This branch contains of devicetree changes for the Freescale i.MX platform. The base patch of the branch changes the format of the dts files to a slightly different format that makes it easier to do derivative board definitions, but it also introduces a lot of churn in the process since every line of the file is touched. On top of that are a handful of the regular changes; enabling more boards as DT-based instead of legacy board files (mx25pdk), enabling another driver for devicetree and thus adding bindings (onewire), etc. I'm not happy about the churn, and will likely not take it for other platforms in the future." * tag 'late-dt' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc: (21 commits) ARM: dts: add dtsi for imx6q and imx6dl ARM: dts: rename imx6q.dtsi to imx6qdl.dtsi ARM: dts: i.MX6: Add regulator delay support ARM: dts: Add device tree entry for onewire master on i.MX53 ARM: i.MX53: Add clocks for i.mx53 onewire master. The bus was invented by Lee Jones, let's show how it's to be used on a DT:ed SoC. - Fetch the special system controller offsets from two special device tree nodes for each case and replace the static mappings with these at boot. - Move some static remaps to the ATAG-only code path and delete some static maps that aren't used. - Push dependencies on system controller remaps down to the Integrator/AP board file and the PCIv3 driver respectively and use only dynamic remappings. - Fix up conditional BUG() usage in the PCIv3 driver to be simpler and more to the point. * tag 'integrator-for-arm-soc' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/linusw/linux-integrator: ARM: integrator: use BUG_ON where possible ARM: integrator: push down SC dependencies ARM: integrator: delete static UART1 mapping ARM: integrator: delete SC mapping on the CP ARM: integrator: remove static CP syscon mapping ARM: integrator: remove static AP syscon mapping ARM: integrator: hook the CP into the SoC bus ARM: integrator: hook the AP into the SoC bus Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de>
2012-11-26ARM: SPEAr3xx: shirq: simplify and move the shared irq multiplexor to DTShiraz Hashim
SPEAr3xx architecture includes shared/multiplexed irqs for certain set of devices. The multiplexor provides a single interrupt to parent interrupt controller (VIC) on behalf of a group of devices. There can be multiple groups available on SPEAr3xx variants but not exceeding 4. The number of devices in a group can differ, further they may share same set of status/mask registers spanning across different bit masks. Also in some cases the group may not have enable or other registers. This makes software little complex. Present implementation was non-DT and had few complex data structures to decipher banks, number of irqs supported, mask and registers involved. This patch simplifies the overall design and convert it in to DT. It also removes all registration from individual SoC files and bring them in to common shirq.c. Also updated the corresponding documentation for DT binding of shirq. Signed-off-by: Shiraz Hashim <shiraz.hashim@st.com> Signed-off-by: Viresh Kumar <viresh.kumar@linaro.org>
