2012-12-24ARM: delete struct sys_timerStephen Warren
Now that the only field in struct sys_timer is .init, delete the struct, and replace the machine descriptor .timer field with the initialization function itself. This will enable moving timer drivers into drivers/clocksource without having to place a public prototype of each struct sys_timer object into include/linux; the intent is to create a single of_clocksource_init() function that determines which timer driver to initialize by scanning the device dtree, much like the proposed irqchip_init() at: http://www.spinics.net/lists/arm-kernel/msg203686.html Includes mach-omap2 fixes from Igor Grinberg. 2012-10-15ARM: imx: include hardware.h rather than mach/hardware.hShawn Guo
It moves a bunch of header files included in hardware.h and itself from mach-imx/include/mach to mach-imx, and updates users to include hardware.h rather than mach/hardware.h. The files in mach-imx/devices will need to include "../hardware.h". 2012-10-15ARM: imx: include ulpi.h rather than mach/ulpi.hShawn Guo

2012-10-15ARM: imx: include common.h rather than mach/common.hShawn Guo
Rename mach-imx/include/mach/common.h to mach-imx/common.h and update all users to include common.h rather than mach/common.h. It also removes an unneeded inclusion to common.h in mach-imx/devices/devices.c. 2012-10-15ARM: imx: move iomux drivers and headers into mach-imxShawn Guo

2012-07-01dma: ipu: remove the use of ipu_platform_dataShawn Guo
The struct ipu_platform_data is used by platform code to pass MXC_IPU_IRQ_START to ipu-core driver. We can save it by having ipu-core driver call irq_alloc_descs to get the irq_base. 2012-06-13ARM: imx: cleanup otg_modeBenoît Thébaudeau
Cleanup the code for the otg_mode command line param: * Use the bool type as it applies here. * Qualify otg_mode_host with __initdata since this variable is only used in this context. * The __setup functions are not supposed to return a status code, but a boolean indicating whether the param has been handled. 2012-05-26Merge tag 'cleanup-initcall' of ↵Linus Torvalds
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc Pull sweeping late_initcall cleanup for arm-soc from Olof Johansson: "This is a patch series from Shawn Guo that moves from individual late_initcalls() to using a member in the machine structure to invoke a platform's late initcalls. This cleanup is a step in the move towards multiplatform kernels since it would reduce the need to check for compatible platforms in each and every initcall." 2012-01-13ARM: Add arm_memblock_steal() to allocate memory away from the kernelRussell King
Several platforms are now using the memblock_alloc+memblock_free+ memblock_remove trick to obtain memory which won't be mapped in the kernel's page tables. Most platforms do this (correctly) in the ->reserve callback. However, OMAP has started to call these functions outside of this callback, and this is extremely unsafe - memory will not be unmapped, and could well be given out after memblock is no longer responsible for its management. So, provide arm_memblock_steal() to perform this function, and ensure that it panic()s if it is used inappropriately. Convert everyone over, including OMAP. As a result, OMAP with OMAP4_ERRATA_I688 enabled will panic on boot with this change. Mark this option as BROKEN and make it depend on BROKEN. OMAP needs to be fixed, or 137d105d50 (ARM: OMAP4: Fix errata i688 with MPU interconnect barriers.) reverted until such time it can be fixed correctly. 2011-06-06gpio/mxc: Change gpio-mxc into an upstanding gpio driverShawn Guo
The patch makes necessary changes on gpio-mxc as below to turn it into an upstanding gpio driver. * Add a list to save all mx2 ports references, so that mx2_gpio_irq_handler can walk through all interrupt status registers * Use readl/writel to replace mach-specific accessors __raw_readl/__raw_writel * Change mxc_gpio_init into mxc_gpio_probe function * Move "struct mxc_gpio_port" into gpio-mxc.c, as it needs not to be public at all, and also make some other cleanup on plat-mxc/include/mach/gpio.h at the same time And the patch then migrates mach-imx and mach-mx5 to the updated driver by adding corresponding platform devices.
